  • "Grigore Moisil" Award (2013)
    This "Grigore Moisil" Award of the Romanian Academy was received for the book ``Mobility in Process Calculi and Natural Computing'' published by Springer in 2011.

  • Gala Premiilor in Cercetare (2009)

  • "Octav Mayer" Award (2004)
    Romanian Academy (Iasi branch) introduces in 2004 two awards: one for science and another for humanities. "Octav Mayer" Award for Science was received in 2004 by Gabriel Ciobanu for his papers published in several journals from Science Citation Index (ISI).

  • "Grigore Moisil" Award (2000)
    Starting 2000, Romanian Academy offers an award for theoretical computer science. This award is named after Grigore C. Moisil, a well-known mathematician who is widely recognized as the father of the Romanian computer science. The first "Grigore Moisil" Award given of the Romanian Academy was received by Gabriel Ciobanu for his papers on process algebra and bio-inspired computation.
