Dr. Vivi Nastase is a research group leader in the Empirical Linguistics and Computational Language Modeling (LiMo) Leibniz Science Campus at the University of Heidelberg. She works on a variety of natural language processing topics, including semantic relations, knowledge acquisition, knowledge graphs, lexical semantics and language evolution. She has obtained her PhD at the University of Ottawa, Canada, and is the author of more than 80 papers published in scientific journals, book chapters and conference proceedings. She has served as area chair for ACL and EMNLP conferences. Vivi is regularly part of the program committee of the major NLP conferences and has organized several workshops, most recently the Extracting Structured Knowledge from Scientific Publications (ESSP) at NAACL 2019.
