The ConsILR series

“ConsILR 2019” Organising Committee invites you to attend the 14th International Conference on Linguistic Resources and Tools for Processing the Natural Language, which will be held between 18 and 20 November 2019 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

The series of ConsILR conferences have begun in 2001, by the initiative of a group of researchers from Iași, Bucharest and Kishinev. At that time they have created, under the aegis of the Romanian Academy, the Commission for the Informatization of the Romanian Language, which, subsequently, formed, as an executive forum, the Consortium for the Informatization of the Romanian Language (ConsILR). The initiative has had as principal goal to foster the collaboration between linguists and computer scientists with the intend to develop advanced language technologies and promote the study of Romanian language by using formal and digital approaches.

The proceedings including the papers presented in the events started to be printed beginning with the 2006 edition and, since the 8th edition (the joined ConsILR events 2011-2012), in order to encourage a larger circulation, the language of the volumes was switched from Romanian to English. A series of 3 consecutive proceedings, those of the editions 2014, 2015, 2016 have been indexed by Clarivate Analytics (former ISI Thomson). The proceedings of the last edition, 2018, and the one of this year event will also be sent for indexing immediately after this year event.

This year event will be hosted by the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca and is dedicated to the celebration of 100 years of Romanian education in this prominent Transylvanian institution.
