Activity

Since 1989 - with the Computer Science department of the Faculty of Mathematics of the "Al. I. Cuza" University of Iasi, which in 1992 becomes the Faculty of Computer Science (Facultatea de Informatica Iasi - FII).

Since 1993 - the principal organizer of the EUROLAN Summer Schools on Natural Language Processing (8th edition held in 2007).

Since 1998 - leads the NLP group at FII.

Between 2000 and 2004 - dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, "A.I.Cuza" University of Iasi

Since 2002 - correspondent member of the Academy of Technical Sciences of Romania

Since 2002 - principal researcher at the Institute for Theoretical Computer Science of the Romanian Academy - the Iasi branch.

Since 2004 - vice-dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, "A.I.Cuza" University of Iasi
